Corner Captains.......By:...Bishop   Author:  5858  Category:(Poetry) Created:(8/22/2002 10:42:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (272 times) The scent of blood, is in the air Gasoline, and an uneasy stare Bangers on the corner flinch Having inhaled that unholy stench Praying that all is still well Venturing into that unknown hell Friends today, are killers tomorrow Always tasting that familiar sorrow Counting losses as one does cash Holding back that deadly stash And telling mothers that all is well While sending brothers straight to hell When will you realize, That all you believe Is all that we despise And corner captains, are first to fall When death himself comes to call.
