I've seen SOOOOO many posts on Psi Balls, either stating how to make them, or asking how to make them. But I've never seen anyone EXPLAIN how to make them. So now somebody is FINALLY going to explain what they are. Bear in mind this is the martial arts explaination and may or may not reflect religious doctrines.

Psi Balls, or Chi Balls, or Ki Balls, whichever you perfer, are just that, balls of Ki (Chi, Psi, etc. For this post, I'll refer to Psi and Chi as Ki, which is what I'm most familiar with)
What is Ki? Ask yourself that question, you possess it. Wether you believe it or not, know it or not, care or not, you do. Ki is the entire essence of life, which without it, nothing would live. It enables life in all things living. Ki resides in all living things, including plants, animals, and humans.
The center of your Ki is the Hara, a spot that is easy to locate on the body. Its about 3 inches down from your navel and if you press this spot, you will fill an odd sensation radiate throughout your stomach (No, its not pressure, its kind of a weird feeling, try it and see).
So what can this Ki do? Well, a lot. It can be used for a greater degree of mental clarity, it can be used to temporarly empower a persons body to an extent not normally available (Additional speed, strenght, endurance, etc.) It can be used to sheild against minor damage, including damage from a psychic or energy-based attack (This does NOT mean someone holding a loaded shotgun to your head won't kill you. Don't be stupid, I said MINOR damage)
However, Ki can be used to considerably reduce the amount of damage done by what is normally a fatal blow (I.e. A car hitting you). Its not likely you'll walk off without a scratch, but you stand a decent chance of surviving (We are taught in Tae Kwon Do, sudden releases of Ki greatly increase attack power when striking and decrease damage when attacked)
One of the most interesting aspects of Ki is the so called "Ki Blast". I was at first highly skeptical of this, but after research on the topic, I am convinced that YES, it can be done. Not in the highly elaborate way characters from Dragon Ball Z do it, but similiar.
Ok back to the subject. What is Ki Balls. They are balls of Ki energy. And where does this energy come from? YOU of course. Can you see them? Yep, if you are experienced enough and put enough energy into it. Can I prove they exist? By all means. How? I guess the inability to compress your cupped hands together because they are repelling like magnets is a hint (YES, this has happened to me) I have yet to see one of my Ki Balls however.
And so whats a Ki Shield? Simply put, you gather enough Ki energy in your Hara and use your will to send it outside your body and cover it. Imagine a light surrounding you or a "bubble" of electric energy around you. Thats about what it would look like if you could make it visable.
So whats with these "blasts"? Well simply put, its a Ki ball that is projected at a very fast speed towards something. What happens when it hits? I have not a clue, never been hit by one. I've heard it hurts like holy hell however. (There is supposedly a video of a man shattering a board with a well-placed Ki Blast, but I've never seen it)
So, is this energy evil? Your drawing it from YOURSELF, YOU answer that one.
Does this energy go against God? He gave it to you didn't he?
Can I hurt people with this? Probably, but I don't recommend it. Karma is a butt-biter (Not YOU Karma Killer! hehe)
Oh, a final note. Ki is in everything, which means it can be "drawn" from things. Meditating on drawing Ki from the Earth through your nose into your Hara is a good way to start. How it changed my life:Hasen't yet. Just thought I'd explain.
