A friend of mine just received her tag and begged for me to go and check it out. I got on and saw it, and just couldn't leave without posting a poem. I've been through a lot this past week, and this is a poem that I wrote two days ago.
“Over and Over Again”
Repetition bites your ankles until they bleed,
Finding Blood River so you can take heed.
Bending down at the couch,
Praying for the Lord to denounce.
Over and over again
They bounce
And take pride away from me.
Over and over again
A new day comes,
Filled with pain.
Cold sweat drips,
Dangling at the walls,
Bounding at its knees.
Compelled to speak,
Theres no way out.
Over and over again
Children scream
Wondering what happened to their parents.
Over and over again
I break through
And find a lost light to once again-
Be put back into the dark.
A new search begins.
Life happens over and over again,
Never at rest.
My body aches.
My hands knead.
My feet freeze.
My brain repeats.
Over and over again
I get stuck in the past
And try to break through.
Over and over again
I see whats wrong
And get 'shushed' quickly after.
I’ll never learn.
Maybe they’ll never need.
Over and over again
I take a quiet break
Abruptly;
It starts all over again.

*I miss USM everyday, and seeing my friends online. To all of those that care, I will be trying to get my internet connection back so hopefully I'll be able to come back earlier then next summer. Take care everyone!*
