I agree with you in most definitions but feel that demonic entities are from Satan. This isn't just my Christian belief either, this is from personal experience. I've encountered many paranormal things in my life too and know that a "sensitive person" can feel their differences. I've felt the presence of what I believe to be ghosts, angels, God and demons or evil spirits. I do believe that very few people actually have the gift of discernment of spirits. This is why I don't feel we should explore their intentions. Some things are better left alone or for those given the power to investigate by God. Yes, many of my beliefs come from my relationship with God but I'm as human as the next person. I get curious and courageous sometimes when I should not. Good post.  |

Yes, it does take your breath away. It's a terrifying experience. The one good thing that comes from being around evil, is knowing that it is real. Being aware helps us prepare for the possibilities. In a way, it would be nice if everyone could experience something paranormal, so they could realize that our world is bigger then our eyes. :c) |

I tend to be more like You choose. Its been my experience that that are three shades if one would call them that. The white ones CAN be angels from God, however they can also decieve and not be. One has to be able to FEEL the difference. The gray ones are strong but not as powerfull as the dark dark ones. Sometimes I only see them in shades, sometimes in full human form. Some times in totatlly demonic form which is really gross and ugly. I dont believe in spirits that WERE human that stay around. I think they are smart enough to go where they need to, I may be wrong, but from what I've encountered in this realm, I have not had any like that. When some have pretended to be like that, after I have told them, that in the name of JESUS they have to reveal their true form, then they do. They have always, turned out to be demonic fallen spirits. Some are really bad evil, some are not. I think just like in the army of the USA, so it is in the army of the spiritual forces, you have your generals, your sargents, your privates, as far as the source of power comes from.  |

i don't totally agree with your definition of demon is off. I think that a demon is an inhuman spirit who is evil and wishes to cause others harm... but I mostly agree with the rest. I don't think that poltergeists are always unhappy... but they do crave attention for different reasons  |

I'll tell you What I know, Simply because I have been forced down, and Held down, and smothered by what some say a poltergeist is. All "THREE" definitions, whether it be Poltergeist,Ghost, and Demons, are simply nothing but "DEMONS!! They are all, the Wicked Eternal Soul Angels, that were once incarnated into flesh bodys at Physical birth, who have died, loosing their Mortal flesh bodies, causing them to Remain here on Earth to Wander the Earth as eternal spirits, waiting for the Judgement, in which their Eternal Souls can die, what is called the second death, that makes their souls die, like their mortal bodys did! While in the mean time, (while Waiting and roaming the earth) they can possess, other living bodies, that have their own souls, or enter the minds to decieve others, or they can appear as Ghost,(apparitions) to resemble someones dead "OR", living family member. They also have the power to physicaly touch, and move objects, what ever they might be! In my case. It was by Physicaly Attacking my Living Body. Now you can believe all these other so called experts, those that Claim they know everything about them! Mabie they have not had physical contact with them. Mabie they have! Many just simply theorise what they are. But Im telling you, no matter what form they appear in, They are "ALL DEMONS"!They are what remains, of the wicked one third of Heavens fallen host! They will continue to remain until Gods destroys them with the Second Death. Don't you buy into the lies that they are good family members that have died and came back to talk to you, because they "AINT"! They only appear as good, just for the sake of Deception! They LIE! And those who are living, who supports them in kind words, Lie too. Mabie in Ignorance sometimes, but they are lies still. Leave them alone! Now.., people here don't like my explanation already do they? You know why they don't, because they (the Demon angel ghost spirits) don't want you to accept what "THEY" truly are. They want you to support them, and their lies. Are you going to? My beliefs, and experiences of overcoming them, comes from the Bible. Somthing that most do not trust in as the source to explain what demons, Ghost, and poltergeist, really are! Nothing makes one and expert, on what they are, except the One who created them! Thats my oppinion!  |

Well, lets see. Since none of us have died, been involved with ghostly activity, we can not in all honesty say with absolute certainty what this field is all about, everything would have to be just a guess. So you take a little paranormal activity and you may build theories around it. On the other hand we do have the bible, now if you dont believe what the bible says then go no further than this sentence. Because anything else that I say will be invalid and worthless. But the scriptures tell us that there is an explanation to these paranormal activities. They say that Satan and his hordes of followers (Demons) are confined to the earth. No longer allowed access to the heavens. So we are stuck with then. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that they are behind all of the evil throughout the earth, child abductions, killings (overkill) crime sprees, children killing parents, parents killing their babies. The list goes on and on unfortunatly. The bible clues us in on what they are really up to, they hate mankind with a passion. We are in a position that they will never again be in. To have a relationship with our Creator and to have everlasting life. Their fates are sealed. They will be destroyed, no longer in a position to mislead people, no longer in a position to influence them. But for the present they are busy, they can make up think that when people die they get to stick around, this is not the truth but it doesn't serve their purposes to tell the truth. I even remember reading some time ago about a young person that encountered a demon that pleaded with her to ask for Gods favor. Ironic huh? That they should be so bold. It is dangerous to entertain these demons. They are capable of doing great harm. I purchased an old house 7 years ago that the original owner died in, actually he committed suicide. The neighbors told me that he suffered great depression and finally ended his life. The young sons may have contributed to his depression as they were out of control, drugs, violence, sex parties and the like were everyday battles with their Father. I senced depression in that home when I moved in and had a struggle with it myself. There was demonic activity as we heard voices and heavy footsteps when I was alone in the house. I knew from where these things were occuring so I did not panic. I prayed, and grew stronger spiritually. ALthough the demonic activity is still there, (We sold the house but the present owners tell me that they have problems) it did not follow me to my new home. So the bottom line is these are demons. They have a purpose, to deceive us, to make us question the bibles stand that the dead are inactive and know nothing at all. They are asleep in the grave and await a resurrection. So what you are entertaining is not a ghost but demons. Be careful, they can cause depression and even physical harm.  |

I agree with you but what they do not accept is that what they think are friendly spirits are in fact demons and can do great physical, mental and emotional damage. I would tell anyone that is into these things to leave it alone!! They only come when you express some desire to know more about them or you have something in your home or presence that they have attached themselves to. Get rid of it! Thanks Haadam. |

Pammy Jo, Haddam Firstborn.. what exactly are the scriptures that you are talking about? I agree that there are many demons on earth... but every spirit or other entity is NOT a demon. What about the angels that come to earth to carry out God's will? I agree that the things that are confined on Earth are evil or troubled, but some spirits are not confined to Earth... Also why do I see these things? I never asked to see anything, I've had a gift for most of my life. God gave me the gift... I know how to use it and what to do with it. A spirit has never harmed me (neither a good one or evil one) I can tell the difference between both instantly... I don't know what else to say.. you have your beliefs and I have my own... but I'm not too close minded to say that I am not 100% certain in what I say.. |

To be absent of the Body, is to be present with the Lord, so says the Scripture if you belong to Jesus. The Scriptures also teach that the bad spirits remain here on Earth as wandering spirits, who cannot go back to heaven to be with the Lord because they have been kicked out of Heaven and given only the Earth as a place to dwell in/upon until Judgement day comes, at which time the Second Death will be administered, for them. The so called good spirit you speak of are not really good at all. They are just as wicked as the Bad ones you claim to have seen also. Satan has the power to appear as an Angel of light, because he was created for that purpose. But his Heart changed into Darkness, and the one third of Heavens host followed after him, and the Darkness that he first chose over the Light. If he can "Appear" (only by APEARANCE today) as an Angel of light, for the sole purpose to "DECIEVE" you, then do you not think too, that his band of Demons (Fallen Angels) who followed him, are also capable of the same Deceptions? You may be able to tell instantly, which is pretending to be good, and which is not, but you are being decieved if you think any of them are GOOD! Stop believing in them. Start telling them to leave you and be gone from your presents in Jesus Name. Rebuke them in Jesus name, and you will find out just how nice and good they are! They hate the name of Jesus, and become "ANGRY" Hostile when you call it out against them. Thats why people, become angry at the upholding of the name Jesus! Because these demons, Theses Wandering spirits enter peoples minds, causing the people to reflect what they themselves feel about Jesus. He is their enemy, and they know they have no power against his name, if it becomes used as a Weapon against them. |

i believe in ghosts and spirts and the such, and Og you don't hafta be so quick to judge the people that do believe in it as nuts, we just have different ways of believing. i believe that for the most part your definitions are correct. i also read in a book on paranormal activity once that sometimes what you think is a poltergeist is just reactions caused from your own mind, because you are unhappy or whatnot so these things somehow happen. its hard to explain but if you read a book on poltergeists it'll usually say something about it in there.
