Okay, first of all, Pearl Harbor was not the deciding factor in us getting in WWII, it was the deciding factor in getting into a war with JAPAN. The deciding factor in us joining WWII was the fact that the Germans had tried to ally with Mexico so they could attack us, because they were mad that we were supplying the Allies with weaponry (Some neutrality policy). Anyway, I don't think 9/11 should be a National Holiday. I think the fake-mourning is done with. If you lie to yourself, then all you'll do is be desensitized. 99% of the population knew NO ONE involved personally in the 9/11 attacks, just as 99% of the population knew NO ONE in the Pearl Harbor attacks. The "I feel bad because America's pride was bruised" routine is sickly overrated now. Therefore, take it as we did with Pearl Harbor. It happened, it's an infamous day, and HOPEFULLY, Hollywood will have more dignity than to make a cheesy movie about it in 50 years.

Umm Emo Kid when America declared war on Japan they also declared war on Germany in a big way. While America had marginal troops over in Europe they really went out in the pacific. Japan was an ally of Germany and Japan acted earlier than Germany wanted. What's the famous saying, "I think we have awoken a sleeping giant". |
