Tired Tired Tired ~~Lady Phoenix~~

I'm going to whine. You've been warned. <lol>

So I had the surgery. What a sucky, sucky day that was. I woke up in recovery, with people rushing all around me. I looked through the haze and hear a nurse say "Her temperature is still dropping...wrap her!!" So at 95 degrees, they wrapped me in heated blankets, head to toe.

And then the pain arrived.

Imagine putting your tongue in a vise, then slowly tightening it. Now, jerk your head back real quick and real hard. Then multiply that by about 100, and you have some idea of how it felt. Three hits of morphine and one hit of demerol later, I could almost talk.

Oh, and did I mention that I have bad veins? LOL...the IV had to be put in my neck. So began the blood and the stitches.

Yes, it was a sucky, sucky day. But, oh it gets better. A couple of days after the surgery, I couldn't keep any food down. Somewhere during the...err...tossing of the cookies...I managed to give myself a hernia. Right at one of the incisions. And I wasn't lucky enough for it to be one of those painfree, no symptoms hernias. Of course not...lol...it hurts and is making breathing deeply difficult. So, now I'm looking at another surgery to repair the hernia. Oy. I'm tired of this.

It's gotta get better right? Pain just wears you down. Being ill wears you down. I think I need a vacation...lol...

Date: 9/9/2002 7:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 31765    your gallbladder stores bile that aids in digestion. sometimes, something screws up with it and stones form. things wouldn't have been so rough, except I had a few complications from being in compromised health prior to the surgery. they had no choice though, it had to be done quickly because it was about to rupture. yuck. and no, you don't want this surgery...the pain was horrigying, and this comes from someone with a very high pain threshold..
Date: 9/10/2002 2:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 14780    your in my thoughts for a speedy recovery...
