They're watching us. All of us.
They're all around us, lurking in the darkness outside your window, watching you do your science homework. They're watching you chat with friends on the phone. They're watching you groove to "La Bamba" in your underwear.
Since the beginning, they have been watching. Unknowing, they even watched themselves until we appeared on the earth. And they've been watching ever since.
But just because they're watching doesn't mean they see everything. Or is the case that they see too much?
That is how conspiracies are formed. The truth leaks out among the blackest of lies to all others who watch, and, eager to see, all eyes fall onto that single subject.
The paparazzi follows. The tabloids exploit. And the subject goes mad.
We know their secrets. We're the select few that even know they're there, that know they're watching us. We proof our homes and cars og them. We block their prying eyes the best we can...but it doesn't matter to them what we do. They'll still be watching.
But who are they, you ask? They are the watchers. Are they gods? Could be. But the last time a god began a conspiracy was the first time someone read the Bible and asked "Why?"
No, they're something else. They don't allow civilians to begin their deceptive dance. They are the watchers, the overseers, the creature who conspire amongst themselves and send it our through campaigns. And they watch as their corruption disseminates through the public, and then as they pick it apart and make up their minds. And they just keep on watching.
If you are skilled enough, you may be able to catch on in action as they record your life, watch as they document your very existance. And those you do find them there don't oftentimes mingle with the watchers, for the consequences are left in the unknown.
But really, who are they? We don't rightly know, and no one can say they've ever found out. You may even run into one on the street. He may have been looking down, but his eyes never strayed far from your face. And you will keep walking, and you will never know you have found one. But he will know you, and he will always be watching.
Because they are the watchers.
