I dunno if I'm considered a "beginner" or not....read my poetry to decide.....but really put your feelings into the poetry or your true and honest thoughts, no matter how dark, into the words. NO poetry is bad in my eyes. Any poetry can be beautiful no matter if it's nonsense or considered "bad" by others. They prob'ly think too highly of their own poetry! But really dump your feelings and thought into it and I'll bet you're poetry is beautiful anyway!  take care, keep writing please and ignore the others, crayzi |

phoenix there is no right or wrong way to write poetry, everyone has their own art and each art is special and good. so i guess what i am saying is dont listen to the negative things because the ones that write them must not know what poetry is all about. ::HUGS::  |

You need to try to express what you truly feel and not what you think will please the people who are reading your work. Remember, poetry is an art form and it take quite a lot of practice to get it right. I could say something inane like practice makes perfect, but really, you have to say what you mean and mean what you say. Good luck! |

Write about feelings. Say to your self "Okay this happened to me today, but how do i feel about it" and write about it. Dont write shallow things. And this may be just me, but i get tired of all those "i love you so much muah muah.." Those poems are a dime a dozen, so write about something you actually feel.--The End  |

i don't think there's such a thing as "good" poetry or "bad" poetry, writing poetry is simply getting emotion down on paper, make your readers FEEL and that's what makes it good.  |
