i think the commercial should reflect the show.. so if there is no nudity in the show why need it in the commercial.. nudity is a very taboo thing.. i think men make more out of nudity then what it really is i find nothing wrong with nudity as long as it's not in a sexual matter and not thrown infront of me.. |

being naked in public makes it sexual and anyone who does it knows that. If I saw a nude person galavanting about a national park I would exercise my right to tell them off. There are many people I would end up vomiting over if I had to see naked. Some people should be born with clothes on |

well i mean, i dont think anything is wrong with nudity at all...it's just not common for us to see full naked stranger in the middle of a park.. i would be startled perhaps, just because it doesn't happen very often. and oh GOD.. i dont think anything is wrong for a woman to breastfeed. she's not screaming around, exposing herself. usually someone would not even notice it. besides, the baby is usually in the way of the breast so not much is seen anyways. great post, dizzy |

men seeing naked women raises their testosterone(sp) levels which could lead to over sexual activity. Nudity is NOT something to do in public. |

It is weird that we were born naked and growing up we think of it as a bad thing. Cavemen/Women in the past were pretty much naked! So why is it that now its wrong to be naked in public? I myself am not very comfortable with nudity in front of other people (dressing rooms, bathroom, etc). But it shouldn't be 'not allowed'. Maybe I don't like being naked in public, but that doesn't mean other people don't have the right to do it. I think you said it all. There really isn't anything wrong with nudity, and if you're uncomfortable with it, then don't get in situations where you will be exposed to it. Great post! Luv, |

I think there is a very good reason we MUST hide our bodies... although bodies are being flaunted more and more nowdays. The reason is: men exist. They have a thing called testosterone. It makes them think about sex every 2 seconds. Now, if nudity was everywhere, I think men would have an extremely hard time (no pun intended) concentrating on work. It's getting worse on society as a whole with all the open nudity. More sexually transmitted diseases, more unwanted children, more anorexics and bulemics trying to stay sexy enough to flaunt their stuff. Cover it up to keep it sane I say...lol!! |

Hmmm...Thunderhead honey, ya know I love ya, but I really gotta challenge that...ya see, yep, I'm a man...and I have testosterone...but no way do I walk around all drooly and pervy like I can't control my own *deleted word starting with 'p' and ending in 's'* We men are NOT animals...we do have self control. Yes, testosterone can make that control harder to achieve, but achieve it we can. To think we can't is to belittle ALL men, of which of course I am one. And another thing...women look and stare too...so it ain't just a male thing. Peace, |

I see nothing worng with it. United States is the only place where they treat nudity as being bad. Europe has nudity on tv and magazines. They have nude beaches. I went to the Bahamas for my 21st b-day and the first thing I did when I got to the beach was take it all off. I liked the nude beach. Even though my behind was burnt so bad I couldnt sit on it for a couple days. I dont see what the big deal is about nudity. |

I don't know. But I don't think it would be very sanitary. Because if a naked person sat down on a park bench germs could be passed way easier to the next person who sat there. Even if the "shame" were taken away most people would still wear clothes so that they could prove how much more money they had then the next person. |

You have not heard of a woman raping a man honey??? Haven't you?? Is that perhaps due to the belief that a man can't be 'raped' unless he is 'ready' therefore presumed willing? Okay...just to you know now...and I'm pretty sure I've shared this with you...but yes, I was raped as a boy, for a number of years, by a woman. |

This is interesting because here's what I struggle with. Nudity itself is not bad (in my opinion) even for children to be exposed to. It's natural, as we were all born naked and nudity is a part of life. You can't wear clothes all the time! People engaging in graphic intercouse (while nude of course) is a little different, as it might expose young children to situations that a parent might not feel is appropriate (at least this parent). But my daughter will cover her eyes (she is 7) when she sees people kissing or about to "make love" on TV, yet she has no qualms about watching a knock down, drag out fight or shooting match where people kill each other violently. In my house, nudity and love scenes (we're NOT talking porn or graphic sex here, okay) are MUCH more acceptable than violent television, however at her Dad's, he will tell her to cover her eyes when Eric & Donna kiss (That 70's Show), yet turn around and let her watch Blade II.....go figure. I don't feel that nudity itself is bad, and I think that the shame that is often associated w/ "nudity" (in homes where it is not acceptable or allowed) causes a lot of insecurity and self consciousness in people. It would help it the "naked people" on TV weren't always so perfect, but that might be a whole different debate! |
