Devout and undying
My life for what I believe
But do you understand?
Cling violently to your beliefs
Clung on with bloody fingernails
Slowing losing your grasp.....
And into what "hell" have you been thrown?
Dillusions, all of it!
So is reality....
There sits a glass on a plain table
Merely a glass?? ....
Throw open curtains and blinds!
In floods a great wave of light
Ripples on the grainy wooden table...
My frozen, poised hand
With shining, sparkling nails!
Faint whispers of color on the walls
Dripping down to the floor
Lights gently flickering
Sunlight dappling skin and divine eyes
Rainbows sliding along the table
Clasp the glass!
Dim glimmer of misty fingerprints
And alas, they are gone!
Magic!! ahh...back to the beginning
Magic....magick??
Do you, the believer
Know the difference?
Flashy gimmicks and feats of wonder
...The Goddess, intunement with your soul...
Energy in a strand of hair
A clipping of nail
The greatest energy, the Sun
Penetrating rays
Harsh and blinding
Yet gentle and warm
...all a matter of perception...
Energy in all, confidence in self:
"If what you seek you find not within,
You will never find it without"
People are a source of love
But a love and trust easily broken
Forgive, try to forget
But do not seek for yourself in others
Do not dwell in the present
Do not merely live life
Moreso, live as if tomorrow will never come
Yet depend on a future
Responsibility for your actions:
"What ye do will come back to ye, threefold"
LIVE life
Do not just "live"
Further yourself, your being
Find beauty in minute detail
In a bluebird's downy feather
In the way the ocean waves lap at dainty feet.....
Kissing the coarse ocean shore
Find the beauty in yourself
And all that that may mean....
To do so, you will truly LIVE
*HAHA this poem is alllll over the place, but oh well; i just had to share it with someone :) although this has to do with the wiccan religion, mostly, parts of it can be taken as ambiguous references to ALL religion, which i'm sure in some deep subconscious sense, they are*
