I looked in fear as a cold chill ran up my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck rose. I stopped and tried to disapear into the crowd. daddy pulled me along. Whitney looked as surprised as I was. "Emily, this is Whitney." daddy said with hope in his voice, hoping, wishing, that i would just fall in love with her. I gave her the dirtiest look i could. She greeted me with a smile that gave me the creeps. "Im hungry." daddy looked pleased that i was talking again. "Okay, lets get some burgers to go because my plane leaves in almost half an hour." daddy said happily. Before i knew it, daddy was bidding us goodbye. I looked sadly out the big glass window, watching daddys plane sail through the clouds. I took one fearful look at Whitney and ran as fast as my small thin legs would carry me. Whitney yelled for me then dashed hot on my heels. A security guard stepped in front of my path, turned me around to face Whitney. I didn't know what to do so i stared blankly at my mothers murderer. "Thank you so much for finding her officer! Come here Emily, give me a hug!" Whitney said sweetly, hiding her anger in hopes that he wouldnt notice. She bent down and i become stiff. In my ear she wispered fiercely, "Unless you want to end up like your mother, dont it again." She led me to the airport exit, still smiling at the officer. "Get in the van!" she screeched. I got in obiediently. She drove me to a large house, and pulled into the long driveway. "Get out." she demanded. She practically dragged me into the house, up the stairs and through the door. "You stay right here, and if you move I'll track you down." she threatened. I stood in my new room looking at my new surroundings, listening to Whitney locking the attic door. "MOM! I'm home!" someone yelled up the stairs. "Good," Whitney replied,"Stay out of the attic." It sounded like a young boy. I heard him stomping up the stairs, towards my new room. "Don't worry mom, I won't go in there!" he yelled down to her. I ran to the door and said urgently,"Help me! Get me out of here!" Part4 coming soon! Fire Flyer and friend.
