Argh...I'm with Dark Fire on this one. I probably wouldn't do anything. What would the world be like now, if he hadn't? I'd probably just stare at the little boy for a minute with my mouth open and give him this really weird look (not on purpose of course), then keep walking. Hah... |

Well if Hitler didn't do what he did we would just get someone else to do it I suppose. |

Well, my theory is, you can't change the past...even if you travel back to it. |

as disghusting as the holocaust was it is something significant in history and altering it would only screw up the flow of time and also what about people who led the massacre of the native americans what about them huh |

I would just let him be. If you altered the course of history the world today would be unrecognizable and way over crowded. |

I would not take his as that would be kidnapping, but I would try to be a part of his life and try to help mold him into not being what he became. |

I'f leave him alone do you know how diffrent the world would be without nuclear technology. And I doubt half of us would be around due to changing the past. |

I'd leave it be. What he did serves as a horrible lesson, but a lesson nonetheless. To take that away could cause even bigger human calamities in our time. |

thats a good debate and there's really no way of knowing what you would do if you were in that situation. even if you raised him on your own to be 'good' the same things could have happened, because even people raised in a good environment are sometimes a little..crazy. |

Well, firstly he'd have to be over 10, otherwise it wouldn't be the dictator you're thinking of, he didn't change his last name to Hitler until he was 10. 2nd, whilst it is possible to travel back in time according to relativity, once back there you would have no future to return to, that future not then existing yet. 3rd, what gives you the right to decide what the course of history should be with regards to other people's life? (thats a general 'you', not just the author!). Causality dictates that any action you take within the past will have enormous ramifications regarding your own timeline, merely being in the past changes the course events would have taken, its possible that by going back it could be you who leads to his choosing of the path history credits him with. Better to leave well alone. |
