You don't exactly need talent.. There are some people, like that Jared guy from Subway, who have made it big for mundane purposes. All HE did was eat sammiches and exercise!! And look at all these supermodels living in New York flats.. they obviously have money! But what talent do they have? Looking pretty. And even then, sometimes its doubtful. Then again, what kinda talent is that? |

the reason why i posted this discussion is because i'm not doing too hot in my school work. i mostly get C's and a few D's. now my parents are gettin' all worried that if i don't raise my grades, i won't get into a good college and won't be able to make a good living. i say that i could drop out of school right now, become a musician or something, and be rich and happy with my life! |

I think Mike Tyson rules out the belief that you have to be smart to be rich. LOL. It probably helps to have some smart people around you though....but then there are always the lottery winners who become rich by chance. Not that they aren't smart....it just depends on the level of ingelligence that you are talking about.  |

Ummmm...I have to disagree with the idea that high school is not necessary or is only necessary for social reasons. There are things that you will learn in high school that you will need for your every day life to get along in the world and understand what is going on around you and why it is important or relevant to you or to the world at large. It certainly is also important if one hopes to ever get a job that pays more than minimum wage. There will always be the exceptions to the rule....but in general, heck ya, high school is necessary. |
