Scary Movies **Frankenstein

I keep seeing all of these posts about scary movies but most of the ones that everyone mentions are the obvious ones. Some of the the scariest movies can't be found in the horror section and I can't explain why that is. Have you ever seen, "Naked Midgets On Wheels" or "Grandma Likes Satin and Lace?" How much more horrible can you get than that? Not every scary movie is at the video store, though.

Home movies can be funny sometimes and they're often scary as well. Dad made one when he got his first movie camera back in the 1960's. He was just filming our dog playing when mom suddenly burst out of the bathroom and ran down the hall with a stream of toilet paper hanging out of her butt. It turned out that there had been a hornet in there and she just wanted to get away from it. She never dreamed that the moment would be caught on film and shown at every family reunion for years to come. I hesitate to even mention, "Uncle Dan's 'Special Friend', Bob." That one's really scary! That is one Labor Day that I'll never forget although I've tried, believe me, I've tried.

If you want something creepy to watch this Halloween, stay away from the horror section. Chances are that you'll be find something better a lot closer to home. Call your grandma and ask her if she still has that tape of grandpa's proctoscopic exam. Happy Halloween!

Date: 10/20/2002 7:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 53838    ONLY YOU FRANK would have home movies that would give the little ones nightmares. I feel that the newer horror movies leave nothing to the imagination. Just like Britney Spears. My favorite horror movie is The Bad Seed. It scared the heck out of me for years
Date: 10/20/2002 8:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 47699    Yeah, The Bad Seed's a good movie, Old Lady. I also like Village of the Damned. (more spooky little kids)
Date: 10/20/2002 10:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    when i was travelling around Europe, we visited a place called Nice. It has beautiful beaches (no sand which was kinda weird but bright blue water) and they are a pretty big tourist attraction. We decided to go check it out. i had the video camera and was chatting away to my friend and to the camera as i was walking and filming. The next minute you can here a series of "Oh My God"s. The camera spins around and focuses on about 6 'older' people (say 70+) sunbaking on the beach in their UNDERWEAR!!!! *shudders* Now this wouldnt be so bad but we all know what grandma/grandpa undies look like (think vast tones of beige and fawn) not to mention the fact that old men never seem to want to buy new underwear, preferring to wear them for as long as humanly possible regardless of the hundreds of holes in them. Now THAT is a scary home movie!!
