Exciting times ahead, say North Wales council, who’ve prepared a scheme of activities for the middle aged workers in the area.
“It has been a growing concern for those who are approaching that tender age where they’re not really sure what to do with themselves. The old days of partying like teenagers soon becomes tired and these people tend to become bored with life. As a result we’ve seen an increase in certain unsatisfactory pastimes which have, to be honest, lowered the tone of the towns in which we live,” explained Beatrice Curry, the organiser.
The new scheme which takes place in the local community centres all over, and start from 6:00 and finish later on at 10:00, will include fun games, excursions to cinemas, galleries and museums, and the like.
Said Roger Bamble, one of the residents to take part in this scheme, “We couldn’t have asked for a more productive solution. So often I have found myself wandering in the streets, looking for a thing to do. Once I even ended up chasing cats, I was so bored by the evening.”
Elderly lady, Greta Stuff, has been campaigning for the program be pushed through, claiming the hordes of middle aged people hang around the town centre were becoming a social problem. “We were getting tired of seeing them milling around as if they were a threat, and the poor teenagers who are supposed to be hanging around these areas have been forced to move out. My grandson has been at home for the past week, and has resorted to studying. Something has to change.”
