LOL!! It seems many people have issues with their in-laws. One of my close friends is getting engaged to her boyfriend and his mother is EXACTLY like the mum off of 'Everybody Loves Raymond" .... VERY interferring and controlling. And my friend is no walk over; she stands up for herself no matter who she is speaking too. I can see some serious wars happening between the two of them!!  |

My mother in law was very controlling and mouthy too, she had to tell us EVERYTHING to do.. she is one main reason I am a divorced lady today, lol.. Years later she and I forged a good relationship though, because of Amanda and I was able to gain a new respect for her. ALL of her daughters in law was the same way I was, they all left... sad huh? She just couldnt handle her "boys" living with anyone I guess... She was really a great woman, just a horrible Mother-in-law. One thing you can do though (is what I did) is to LEARN from her how to NOT be that way with your own kids and their spouses... my daughter in law and soon to be son in law loves me   |

Well just look at it this way...if she didn't get on your nerves he would....lol it always happens that way. I love my inlaws but sometimes I could do without my man and my sister hates her inlaws but is happily married, go figure!  |

That is sooo scary as I am a Moter-in law I hope my son-inlaw does not feel that way about me. My Mother-inlaw is awsome we get along great so I don't have any advise to give except an old saying that I was taught " It is easier to catch bees with honey then to try to catch them with vinager"  |

Gail, Oh I have learned to let it slip by...... lol, its the only way to deal with things... they just cant stand theie precious baby boys to get a life.. ALL OF MY SISTER IN LAWS HAVE DIvorced their men because of HER. I STAyed ...lol..... In 17 yrs she's lost a bunch of them and the new girl friends that come along they dont last long...lol, but its been my gain because her precious is far away...lol |

Midnightly, the best MEDICENE for that is toooo MOVE......MOVE ON out of there.... It has helped us and our relationship I swear to you a 100% difference we always say yea we will move back but after everybody is long and gone.... its cruel for us to say that but its the truth.. I used to be hurt just like you all the time... she said what ever whenever she felt like it until one day I SLAMMED her back on a few things ever since then she knows better. Because I will go to excessive force and messures to let her know what I need to get out of my system and what is strange is thaT I think she likes me much more for it... Go figure.... its just their baby boys... it makes me sick!!lol |
