Sweeter Than Wine.....AerisVampire

Inspired by Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado." As I thought about it, the whole thing CLICKED... and so I wrote this poem in accordance to my "philosophy." See if you agree..


Sweeter Than Wine

Revenge served at night
Nectar in a bottle
Red and passionate
Colors of blood

Served on silver
In crystal goblets
Enhancing the taste
Of the pleasure
Of vengeful wine

Drink from the glass
The blood that makes you weak
And as he dies you lap it up
Merciless revenge
On your lips.

When morning comes
Skin turns grey
And you sleep with dreams
Of utter despair
As you coddle your wine
To forget that you killed
And you drink to your health
And to bloody revenge
Much sweeter than wine
