they do hurt a bunch, but just milk it with your parent's for all it's worth, moan and complain about how you can only eat ice cream, LOL, don't get any dark colors, because then it'll look like there is something in your teeth, LoL, umm, I can't really think of anything else to say, so if you have any questions, msg me! :)  |

I didnt think they hurt that bad. Umm I always got silver because they arent that noticible. I never liked bright colors. Or dark ones, especially black, because from far away it looks like your missing teeth lol. Also stay away from clear, because certain things stain them and they look really bad then. well im getting mine off a week from wednesday and always remember to brush your teeth after you eat whenever you can cuz food easly gets stuck in them but it does hurt jsut to warn ya! ~*~Angel~*~  |

My son had them for a year and I think the only time they hurt him was when he first got them on and them every now and then when he had them tightened..Just do as your dentist tells you to do with them so that you want have any set backs with them...Good luck! Oh and make sure you put the wax on.  |

braces will take some getting used to (trust me, i've been there), but it won't be that bad. and on colors, that's the best part because YOU get to decide what you want; nothing else matters. just remember that for the first like 2 weeks you'll only be able to eat soup and mashed peas....lol have fun!  |

they hurt for about the first week or so once you get them on. Take an aspirin and be patient-- the pain will go away soon.  |

I've still got mine..it takes awhile for them to put them on..it feels weird at first but you get use to them. Oh the glue they use tastes really bad so once you leave get something to eat or drink. I won't lie but it does hurt a few days when you get them tightened just take tylenol or advil.  |

omg tha daiz when i had braces.....all i can say is get wat chu want...there are like heaps of interchangable colourz that you can get, when ever you like..they are cool! but plz do were ya plate after ya braces get taken off! *hugz*  |

I got braces when I was nine, third grade. I had them on for seven years. : ( Well, all I can say is brush really good when you have braces, and get a good orthodontist. One of the bands that were around a back took ripped some piece of my tooth off and I had to get a filling. YUCK! Owwwww.....  |
