Once upon a time,
I thought I loved you;
But then you proved me wrong.

I thought the world was at my fingertips,
and the funny thing is, is that it was,
and I didn't even realize it.
The man I wanted and needed,
was right under my nose,
and I didn't even notice him.

You lead me on to believe you were the one.
When all the while,
you were seeing others behind my back,
and yet I couldn't touch anyone but you.
I couldn't flirt, I couldn't live, I couldn't love.

So now this is my payment back.

If it can even be called that.
I once loved you,
I now hate you,
and I know I CAN live without you.
