I actually got this off the movie 28 days...or is it 27??? anywho....if we are all insane, as DMK says (cause I know by this definition I am either insane or determined LOL do we have a right to hurt others with our own repeated "issues" or needs? and is insanity a justification for excusal from all 'charges"??? ok...I am making absolutely no sense...kinda went off to the left here. oh never mind. I will let ya all add what ya may |

I feel that the INSANE are victims of their own messed up brains and perceptions. A SOCIOPATH type personality manipulates and controls others to believe in their perceptions of themselves. SOCIOPATHS make the conscience effort to lie... |

While a person who is insane might be doing the same things over and over again, that does not mean that just BECAUSE a person repeats the same behaviors that THAT person is insane. A person who really IS insane , is someone who is consistently irrational, illogical, and cannot be reasoned with; they don't have a conscience either. When I realize this about someone, I RUN...I get as far away from them as possible. |

yes, thats a very bad definition of insanity. (no offence) that seems like its the definition for stupid, rather then insane. the thing with insane people is, if you think your insane, then your not. same with halucinations. if you know its a hullucination, then its not. so its hard to step out of yourself and deal with something you do not know exsists. -the lost boy |

Well, I think insanity means that someone is inflicted with such a controlling mental illness that it results in the inability to control ones actions at times and/or to lead a normal life. Their behavior is so abnormal that they, themselves, don't realize anything is really wrong with them. Peace, |

Hi CB-Sis...don't hate me for my reply...OK?? IMO there are so many degrees of both sanity & insanity that it's almost impossible to label it so easily. Also ... now really consider this... reality is subjective...there are people who lie or steal without any thought to what they are doing. For them their reality enables them to justify their actions in such a way that they truly believe they've done nothing wrong. I myself am a diagnosed bi-polar (manic-depressive) and I thank God every day that I've FINALLY found a mood stabilizer that works well for me. Does that make me insane?? I've also been voluntarily admited into a BSU ward. And consider this...In the world we live in today, you almost have to be a little nuts just to get through each day. Maybe sanity is overrated...you tell me?? |
