watching TV there are alot of commercials what say at the very bottom "do not try this at home" what is perfectly fine but how many people have a race track in thier backyards or heavy machinery just sitting around in thier basement... i certinally don't have a fork lift sitting down there...these kinda things are physically impossible to "attempt this at home" do you still think they need to put the warnings there??

Havent you ever seen J@ck@ss?? It proves how stupid people can really be somtimes... I get your point, and I agree, because you or me would be that dumb, but there are some real morons out there..
Date: 11/10/2002 10:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 53360    that was "would not" instead of would
Date: 11/10/2002 11:08:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53052    i think people are too sue happy.. i hate to say americans.. but i do think americans are too sue happy... heck they have turned it into a channel..."court TV" all day all court programs
Date: 11/11/2002 1:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    Yes they should have them because people are too stupid and actually do try them...
Date: 11/11/2002 5:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 35720    In a perfect world (read: if everyone wasn't a moron), it would be acceptable to not put these warnings. But watch Jackass and you'll see that some.. well, some jackasses.. find it necessary to try some of the dumbest things imaginable. More and more kids are trying Jackass stunts despite the warnings, because they think it's "cool" and "funny". I predict a rush of lawsuits now that the Jackass movie is in theaters. I find it pointless to make a whole movie based on glorifying idiotic stunts that usually are disgusting and aren't even funny. But that's just me.. And YES Americans are SO sue happy, it's not EVEN funny. I hate Court TV.. it's like not even taken seriously. It's more of a talk show anymore. Some of the stories sound like they're straight out of a Jerry Springer episode. I think what those people are looking for is their 10 minutes of fame. And did you hear about that guy who sued McDonald's because he was overweight? WHAT AN IDIOT. I'd COUNTERSUE just because he's a moron!
Date: 11/11/2002 6:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 56293    Who knows. . There are some pretty *stupid* people out there..LoL
Date: 11/11/2002 11:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 46486    There is a show on MTV called ..Jack... well you've probably seen the commercials for it, I can't finish the name of it since it's not g-rated.. But anyway, they do stunts and hurt themselves A LOT.. adn I think that is one show that needs a warning.. in my opinion.
Date: 11/11/2002 11:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 46486    Rika: I've read that about the guy sueing McDonalds, what a moron
Date: 11/11/2002 12:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 39370    Well, actually with the people these days, it IS a good thing to put those warnings on the commercials. Like many other people said, the show Jackass is a good example of how stupid people are these days. And what kind of stupid things they will do.
Date: 11/18/2002 9:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    Some people probably do. Crazy people, that is. : )
