In the middle of the storm

WOW, all I can say is Mother Nature is upset. I am sitting here after ten hours of intense weather. Tornadoes below, and tornadoes above my little sanctuary. My heart goes out to those who are missing families and friends, we were somewhat lucky here.

One church missing its roof, and another building demolished. At this time that is all the info I have, I hope it isn't worse by morning.

Here is a link, about halfway down is Pine Knot, Where I am currently located. http://www.cnn.com/2002/WEATHER/11/10/severe.storms/index.html

I hope the worst is over.

Date: 11/10/2002 11:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    I think this sort of thing is happening all over the Southeast tonight. That's the way it's been here in Tennessee. The TV's turned off right now but the last time I heard, there were three unconfirmed deaths.
Date: 11/10/2002 11:58:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    Yep, Tennessee got hit pretty hard, Ohio looks to be the worse though. still lots of lightning Here, winds have calmed though.
Date: 11/10/2002 11:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 7819    Im with ya! Right now we are in a tornado warning. I live in kennesaw, GA ( cobb county ) Its pretty intense.
Date: 11/11/2002 12:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 7819    And we just had a confirmed tornado ( suspected tornado ) near fulton county, which is the county right near us.
Date: 11/11/2002 12:02:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    Hey Shadow, welcome to the club, LOL, Tornado warning about 15 miles east, and under a flood warning also.
Date: 11/11/2002 12:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 7819    I guess living in GA I'll have to get used too this kinda stuff. Lol
Date: 11/11/2002 12:05:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    Yep, its a new one on me also, Intense lightning patterns tonight, stuff I had only seen in a movie before.
Date: 11/11/2002 12:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 7819    Lol!! I was just saying that exact same thing to someone else on yahoo. I could sit outside and watch a storm all day, but this ones actually got me staying in doors!! Lol!!
Date: 11/11/2002 12:10:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    I know what you mean, I love a good storm, but this one was anything but, add to that having to chase around 240, 16 to 24 year olds that think they are imortal...LOL, it was a wet, trying day at work, not to mention a little scary.
Date: 11/11/2002 12:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 28190    Yep, same here in Alabama... although I think for the most part is past us.. I just had the power go out for a few minutes.. about 10 minutes ago... I'm used to this type of weather though, been living in Alabama all my life and weather has been like that for as long as I could remember, thats for sure.. My heart and prayers go out to those that have lost anyone, or been injured. *hugs*
Date: 11/11/2002 12:25:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5858    Amanda, yeah, its sure gonna be a sad day in the morning for a whole bunch of people. My heart is with them.
Date: 11/11/2002 1:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 23610    I was at a Mind, Body, and Spirit Expo today and all of a sudden the tornado sirens started going off outside. I'm in Indiana. I used to live in California...and I can deal with earthquakes...but for some reason tornados just seem to be so much scarier. We had three touch down here about a month ago and it caused some real destruction of people's homes and businesses. Luckily noone was seriously hurt. I really feel for any person caught in the path of a tornado...and I'm with you, my heart also goes out to those people with loved ones who are missing or hurt.
Date: 11/11/2002 4:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I have to say where I am it is going to be 73 and we are due for bad thunderstorms in the afternoon I wonder if the high temp today is from the tornadoes your way.
Date: 11/11/2002 7:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    I saw on the news this morning all the storms and although we had some blow through here in the middle of the night, we were lucky, no damage. My prayers go to all who were affected by these storms.
Date: 1/11/2003 7:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 49354    I remember this. I live in Tennessee and we were hit pretty hard.
