Please forgive the not exact measurements This recipe came with my great Grandparents from Germany and the amounts will vary with size of bird and amount of peple to eat it.
For an 8-11 pound turkey or a turkey breast
3-5 cooking apples peeled and cut into bite size pieces
1 box raisins
Water to cover
1-3 tablespons sugar to your taste
2 slices white bread crumbled up
place apples and raisins in a saucepan with the water along with the sugar cook mushy adding bread to desired consitency Stuff bird as you would with any stuffing. This makes a dark rich and sweet gravy
