I just decided to go to a party I was smart, I didn’t drink Left the party early Swerved around a corner, a driver didn’t think
I dodged as much as I could But I fear I was too late I heard a screech, my whole body was flung I felt drowsy and out of state
I heard some distance sirens And I thought they may come close My vision started fading I felt ready to about float
I try to lift my head up To see whats going on I had no idea it was this bad I couldn’t feel my body, could it be, it was gone?
I see red everywhere I can only think its blood Wet and squishy, under the grass My numb arms run through the mud
The paramedics are here now ‘I fear shes going to die someone tell her mother so she can atleast say goodbye’
But no, they are too late I think im fading now I can watch whats going on Only my feeling wont allow
I try to scream down ‘no, its ok! I’m fine!’ But I guess no one could hear me For the bloodstained concrete is whats left behind
Many days go on I see my friends, every day and night But there is one in particular That I wish I could talk to tonight
The greatest guy of them all And he was taking it the worst I had loved him all along My feelings had almost burst
If only I hadent gone to that party I should have stayed home, I’de still be here! Ide be able to love, to hate, to feel again And words that are spoken, people could hear!
I could tell Brett that I loved him And that I had all along Cause I now see, hes always felt the same I thought he didn’t, I was all wrong
So I guess I will say this for it’s the last thing on my mind “Brett, I love you, please don’t be hurt, please, do not cry” But I see you cannot hear me, voices from heaven cannot be heard But I had to say it, atleast just once, I had to get in my final word
So here is to you, Brett I will leave, and try not to cry As I say these final words to you I love you, I’ll think of you forever, goodbye
