I was just wondering, because I heard it somewhere, that when you build muscle, that makes you weigh more, because I have a weightlifting class, and good-golly, I'm making some muscle..hehe..I was wondering if by building muscle, you also gain weight depending on the muscle you built, because I have weighed myself, and I weigh slightly more, yet feel the same only a little better because now my muscles aren't so wobbly. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for your comments. Good evening :) Carina

Date: 11/23/2002 7:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 23610    Yes, muscle weighs more than fat. But your weight measurement shouldn't be the most important factor....inches are more important...and the way your body looks. That is...if you are going for a toned, healthy looking body that looks good in clothes. Even skinny people have cellulite. So being skinny or weighing little isn't always the best indicator for a great body.
Date: 11/23/2002 7:48:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36994    Thats true, I do weigh a slight more then before, but I can't just say its the muscle if you know what I mean...I just want to get to a weight in which I can feel better about myself:) Thanks for all your replies :)
Date: 11/23/2002 8:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 23610    Well, I think it's great that you are taking weightlifting, Carina. You might want to add some type of aerobic activity to it though because you will also want to burn off the fat. Weightlifting alone won't do that. Just be persistent....you'll get there.
Date: 11/23/2002 8:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 52866    I tink so...
