heh-I guess I let out a little more of my feelings on that kind of drugs than I'd like. The simple truth is that any drug with Mania as a side effect shouldn't ever be used-IMO. See your doctor, and be careful-no matter what direction this goes. |

Like do they happen in everyday life or such? Have you been taking medications lately for a disease or the like? Or have you been getting enough sleep at night? These and a couple other things could lead a person to seeing hallucinations. Just a thought. ~whatdidisay22  |

CC. my daughter also heard her name called many many times. I have personally seen shadows. do they scare you? I bet they must. they do me...and then you often wonder if you are crazy or hallucinating. it can be...hallusinations. or something unknown. tell it to go away. I used to fight it by going around and cleaning my house and telling it it had to go...OMG! I probably sound like a loonie...but sometimes it worked..at least for a while. i moved and we havent seen anything since. My daughter hasnt heard her name being called. I still experience a few things once in a while...but nothing that "obvious". have you recently experienced any turmoil? sometimes stress leaves us more "open" to feel things...or perhaps moved? I know you will be okay hun. talk to your doctor too. *huGz* |

do not listen to them about paxil. research it yourself or talk to your doctor first. I am not sure how old you are and paxil CAN be the cause....but lets not go off the deep end. prozac has been blamed for a lot of difficulties and all anti-depressants have. some are not suited for certain peeps. hun...talk to your doctor and dont think you are going crazy! that is the important thing. cause you are not. |

These are just a FEW side effects of paxil....Nervous System: Akinesia (the temporary paralysis of a muscle, can include intense pain), alcohol abuse, amnesia, ataxia (failure of muscular coordination or irregularity of muscle action), convulsion, depersonalization, hallucinations, hyperkinesia (abnormally increased mobility, abnormally increased motor function or activity), hypertonia (a condition of excessive tone, tension or activity, can include increased blood pressure), incoordination, lack of emotion, manic reaction, paranoid reaction, thinking abnormal.

yes-- they can be a symptom of a problem with your brain or your nervous system, or a chemical imbalance of some sort. You need to tell a doctor about this, asap.  |

I've been taking Paxil for over three years now and never had a problem with it. If you started hallucenating after taking Paxil, that could be it. Are you taking anything else with the paxil? Anything? Even birth controls or head ache medicines could interact with your Paxil and make you not think right. My friend took Paxil and a birth control pill. She went in an amnesia state for a week. Definently go to your doctor. Is there a history of scitzophrenia in your family?  |
