Lactaid!! The pill, NOT the drink. BLECH!!!! Seriously though, take a pill before you have any dairy, and it will help a LOT. I don't drink milk without it! |

Oh I know what you go through. I LOVE milk-it's my fav drink. I'd rather have it any day over a soft drink. I started going where I'd have 5 giant-sized Taco Bell cups of milk a day. About 7 months ago my stomach would just hurt so bad. I;d never felt any kind of pain in my stomach like this before (I was 13 then, 14 now). I had no idea it was because of the milk and went on drinking. I went the doctor a couple of times, they thought I had too much acid on my stomach or something like that. My mom researched on the net and read that teenagers can develope a lactose intolerant. We read more about it and diagnosed what I had as that. I haven't had to quit drinking milk-I just limit my daily intake to about 2-3 glasses a day now. I don't know what I'd do if I had to start drinking that nasty lactose-free milk. |

try not drinking it on an empty stomach! that is a huge key factor of it... milk is really hard to digest... and my friend has an intersting theroy on milk*L* how he looks at it is that milk is meant to make a small cow become a big cow fairly quickly same with breast milk and a baby it helps the child grow real quick... personally i can't drink the stuff but it doesn't bother me any... i just take a 1 a day multi vitamin(and i suggest everyone to take one they are great!) |

as a baby I had to have lactofree formula, and as a toddler I had to drink Goats milk (the thought makes me ill )but as a teen I loved milk went through a gallon every 2 days, but in the last 2 years I have gone back to getting ill when I drink milk. I try to stay away from it when I can. When I do have milk I have 2% instead of whole. ... |
