ours is so good to us!! Most stuff doesn't have to be cleared....don't get me wrong some stuff DOES....I needed a few mri's *of my neck and brain* and it took a week or so for them to clear that but it wasn't an 'urgent' thing BOTH mri's ran 3,000 total...we were suppose to cover about half.....yet they decided to take care of it and never bill us, OUr current plan doesn't cover eye care unless it's a hmmmm well dr visits they carry but corrective vision needs *contacts/glasses* they do not....about every third round their cool and cover the cost of my contacts *Phew saves me a BUNCH* so their cool....we're looking into picking up the eye plan next year which will be NICE as I pay about 100.00 a year for my timoptic eye drops plus about 50.00 for any medication I might need for infection etc *always have atleast one a year* plus 75.00 a pop per eye doctors visit....I have 4-6 of those a year plus my contact costs which is about 400.00-500.00 a year....*Phew* yeah I'm blind ;) And yeah I love my insurance hehe |

I have to say the company I work for provides great insurance at no cost for me and I pay 100.00 a month for my son. Included is medical, dental and vision. I only have to have approval on surgeries (unless life threating)and that only takes a few days. I pay 10.00 a visit to the Dr. and no co-pay for dental or vision. 5.00 for meds. I have to say I have it made in the insurance department. ... |

Well Frank we have no insurance for me and my hubby,so we have to go to the health center if you really need to see the doctor you have to do what they call a walk in and they only take the first 15 people! so you are out of luck if you are nto lined up very very early,if you try to make an appt. it can be a few months before you get an appt. They told us at the health center if we have to just go to emergency and show our yellow center card and the bill will go to the center. They do give you prescroptions for free that i can't complain about ,but the last time I was so sick and was not able to get in for a walk-in as the adult walk-ins were nto running every day i tried :( I was so mad and sick that i was about to say forget it.Now when I am sick I just say baloney I will treat myself and hope to get better.I have had this hacking choking flemmy cough ( sounds like the ny quil commercial LOL ) since nov 2nd and I will not go over there unless I am half dead.Sorry for gettign so chatty but thats how I feel about our medical care :) |

mine stinks... I go wait for an hour or so to be seen by a PA not even a real doc... they weigh ya, and you freak out cuz of what the scale says, so they say, "dont' worry about it the scales are off" ok so why you weigh me if they are off?? Then to the blood pressure... try taking it it won't work, they change the tubes thing it still won't work, so they get a reading and after they tell me the pressure is fine, they say "the cuff is broken lemmie just change it real quick" that is AFTER they tell me I am fine... hmmmm they change the cuff and DO NOT take my pressure again... just call it good with the broken cuff!! LOL Then a doc I have never seen looks at my results (never saw me personally) tells me through the PA that I have IBS (no kidding we already knew that) perscribes me pills I already have and send me on my way... I feel so taken care of !! LOL NOT.... meanwhile the thing I went in for in the first place is NEVER addressed and I am to make another appointment for a couple weeks later... forgetaboutit!!! |

You are too weird Vampyre Gerbil...lol :), I've got Blue-Cross Blue Shield, so I'm not complaining....healthcare costs is thievery...if anything would've happened to that woman, such as nerve damage or infection, she could've sued that hospital and insurance company big-time! I have been a nurse for the last 6 years and have never heard of patients with broken bones having to wait for a cast or operation..this is an outrage! |
