Don't buy this!

I had a very nice Sony portable c.d. player for nearly two years and, after dropping it on the ground by accident, it broke and doesn't work, which really makes me sore. So I went to Sears, figuring I could get a good deal. I bought a GPX for 30 dollars. I don't know how much the Sony cost; my cousin got it for me for Christmas. But I can kinda see why this c.d. player was so cheap. It's a piece of crap! Burns up batteries like an elephant consuming peanuts! When I put batteries in the Sony, they lasted a really long time. And the new one is so cruddy, I only can use the batteries for not even a week before they're burnt out, and I usually run it on an outlet. I'm seriously thinking of selling this piece of crap. So I'm warning everyone to not buy a GPX if you don't want to spend money on batteries every freakin' week! Sony is good! GPX stinks! I'm going to sell it to someone at school for fifteen dollars...if it's even worth that much.

Date: 11/25/2002 8:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    I bought the same exact CD player and I had the same battery problems too. Needless to say, it got stuffed in the top of the closet a couple of months ago and hasn't been used since..lol. It's better sometimes just to go ahead and spend the extra money. You would probably make up the difference in batteries anyway...

Date: 11/25/2002 8:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 48129    I could've told you that, lol...but im not sure i understand the part where you say"...And the new one is so cruddy, I only can use the batteries for not even a week before they're burnt out, and I usually run it on an outlet..." do you mean you were keeping the batteries IN the cd player while having it connected to an electric plug?? cuz if so, of course that is gonna kill your batteries, lol =-)
Date: 11/25/2002 8:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51070    Thanx for telling me that, ChicaBella. I did not know that batteries were burnt up even when the thing was plugged in.
