OUr school mascot is the Spartan. We used to be called the "Greenies" back in the 60's. We have alot of traditions at our school. We have our rival football game. The last game of the year is always against our rival school. The night before we always have a bonfire to get pumped up. We used to throw a stuffed Indian in the bonfire because that was their mascot but we stopped doing that 2 years ago. Then we have the elf auction. Students and teachers sign up to be elves and are auctioned off to the staff and students. All money goes towards charity. It's a great day. We have teachers and students singing christmas carols over the PA system, people are doing funny things in the hallways. Its just a great event. We also have May Day. We are one of the only schools around where I live that still has May Day. Every year we have a differnt theme. I can remember Western, American Bandstand, Jungle, Under the Sea, Hollywood all as themes. So, does your school have any traditions??
