Okay, I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about but it sounds like you are referring to what's more commonly known as Calamine lotion, or maybe Aveeno as Snookums mentioned, but I did do a little research for you and found some homemade remedies for different types of itch and discomfort and maybe one of those can help you? I found them at a site that doheney mentioned here on her USM Cookbook post http://www.recipegoldmine.com under the Home Remedies section. It may take up a bit of space as there a few different ones so I apologize for that in advance and hope one of these helps to ease your discomfort. - OATMEAL SOAK
(for sunburn or dry, tired skin)
1 C. oatmeal (regular - not instant)
1/2 C. powdered orrisroot
Crush oatmeal flakes a little so they will release their minerals when you add them to water. Mix with orrisroot and place in the center of a plain piece of fabric. Tie into a ball. Take the ball into the bath and, after it has soaked awhile, rub it over your skin. The ball can be used over again as many times as it seems to do its job.//-// -SKIN IRRITATION SOOTHER
(for bites, poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac)
3 parts baking soda
1 part water
Make a paste, then apply. Let the paste dry on the skin, then wash it off.//-// -IRRITATED SKIN HEALANT
Few teaspoons calamine powder
Aloe juice
Mix together to make a creamy paste. Smooth onto face, avoiding eye area. Wait 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse well.//-// -ALL-PURPOSE ANTI-ITCH AGENT
2 C. ice
2 T. salt
2 C. milk
Put all ingredients into a one-quart bottle. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and apply to the itchy area for 20 minutes. Repeat three to four times a day.- Much love, many hugs, and kisses, and the best of luck, hopes, and wishes to you and to ALL, and I hope your eczema heals soon. -KQ a.k.a.
