Located in Guthrie,Oklahoma is the Stone Lion Inn.Once a funeral home, the Stone Lion Inn is now a bed & breakfast offering everything from fine dining,to murder mystery weekends. In 1986 the house was purchased by Becky Luker. With the help of her two sons the home was converted into an inn.
After moving in they began to hear footsteps going up and down stairs, and doors opening and closing at night. The police were called out several times, but nothing was ever found. The most haunted areas of the house are the back stairs were footsteps can be heard between the hours of ten and midnight, and a large closet on the third floor that Mrs.Lukers youngest son used to keep his toys in.The toys and games would be put neatly away at night, but the next morning they would be found scattered all over the floor.
The house was built in 1907 by F.E.Houghton,who lived there with his family. Mr.Houghton had an eight year old daughter named Augusta who became ill with whooping cough. She died after a nurse mistakenly gave her the wrong kind of medicine. The older Houghton siblings believe that it may be the ghost of there sister that haunts the home today. They used the same large closet on the third floor to hold their toys, and they used to sneak out of bed, down the back steps between the hours of ten and twelve to play.
