NO, this will not be an admission. It will be an outpatient procedure; but should anything go wrong, then she would be officially admitted, and assigned to a room; ICU, whatever. The docs are gonna go through the Femoral artery, thread this tiny microscopic wire and scope out the main arteries and the blood clot; and arteries surrounding it all. The very real danger of something invasive like this is that the possible disturbance or disloging of any clot or clots to the heart, which could/can be lethal.  |

Ya know Thinker..After reading this post, I had a vision of Thunderhead and you frolicking in the surf. In my book, you're one up-front, head strong, no nonsense lady...with a heart of gold. I am keeping Karen in my thoughts. She helped me more than she knows with her love and her willing to take the time to talk to me. The thing is, she did the same for so many of us here at USM. I'm uncomfortable with the way things are going, sure, but I'm happy that you two got together. Thanks for the update and tell Thunderhead hello for me. My heart breaks every time I think of her, how beautiful her heart is..and I wonder why this has to happen to her?... Thank you, all of you good and kind people who have replied here and in private messages. I know it is hard on a keyboard to express; to convey; all that we feel within our hearts, but I want to assure you that this old bird CAN read between the lines. It's one of my "talents", so to speak. I wish we could someone reach out our hands and arms in person, but we CAN concentrate our thoughts and minds; and feelings; and that energy DOES come through. I see this happening all the time. When you concentrate so hard, with strong loving feelings, with intensity; very often that person will call, drop by; write; or show up. Karen told me yesterday while she was having this done in the hospital, that she heard wind chimes, and how it makes her think that ANGELS are there. Well, someone had a TV on, and the chimes were coming from there. Well, anyway, our dear Karen has such a very high level of spirituality and a keen AWARENESS; and oh my my; I really am so touched by her gentle nature. I will be calling her again today. Hopefully, she will be online in a day or so. Warm fuzzies to all, Cat |

I talked to Karen 3 times yesterday. She says she slept almost the whole day. She was having difficulty breathing; and I ask if she would please contact the doctor's office tomorrow and see if she can't get a couple of oxygen bottles to have there where she can reach over and get some pure oxygen whenever she needs it. She agreed it was a good idea. Her bother is going to install the temporary dial up computer today; and hopefully she will be able to come online tonight. Kronk, I gave Karen your message, just as you said to do; and she said to tell you "I love you too". I told her of all the others who sent her messages, and she returns the greetings and sentiments. She mentioned that she loved Zema's voice on the phone when Zema says in her Aussie accent "Hello Dahling". She misses everyone. I'll be calling her again in a little while. ADMIN (Radman), thanks so much for your sweet message this morning. I so agree. |
