The Farm.................................................................~SpaceCase   Author:  53836  Category:(Poetry) Created:(12/16/2002 10:54:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (249 times) Stardust scattered in my rearview Pine trees reaching for the sky No one for miles and miles around me No one to hear my spirits rise I am just an ol' time cowgirl Living in a big ol' concrete cell My only escape is further northward That city doesn't seem to suite me well When I breath the fresh country mornings My soul is set free to roam And even though I moved away so long ago That little stretch of country is my home I want to thank Dad for keeping the land we were raised on, along with the house he helped to build...it is a wonderful escape from the city.
