Well a premonition is more of where you know what's going to happen next. Deja Vu is where you feel like you've done what you're doing before. :) |

Deja-vu is something that you feel you have done before. I have Dejavu more than anything. I had a dream about one year ago and I had the deja vu in December. Its wierd and sort of scary at the same time. Bigdadi9 |

actually, there is a big difference between the two. Deja-vu' deals with remembering about being somewhere, it deals with past lives, You might say Deja-Vu focus is the *PAST*. Premonitions, on the other hand, is when you foresee the future, It deals with important things like visions, that happen after you see them. Premonitions focus on the *FUTURE*. |

Dejavu is the past, normally been there, done that. Premonitions are in the future tense.~Shaye |

Ok, thanks. When I have Dejavu its weird because I just get a feeling that I've been here before. I will get a image in my head for a few seconds and the image is of what is gonna happen. I cant really explain it, its just...weird. Thanks again! |

Déjà vu does in no way directly deal with the past. I’ve had precognitive dreams that meant nothing to me and I would totally forget them that same morning. But weeks even many months after the dream occur I would get a sense of déjà vu when the scene in my dream would come up and I would recollect the dream to every detail. Precognition is the same thing as a premonition; I just like using the term precognition. Now to argue that déjà vu has does not directly relate to the past – I’ve had déjà vu at this little carnival type of deal that goes on by my house. I haven’t gone to this event in some 5 years. And it’s only been around for 10+ years. So now the questions comes up if déjà vu directly deals with the past how could I get déjà vu in a event that didn’t exist in my past life. There are theories as to why déjà vu occurs. One is more of a conformability issue. Some environments make you feel very comfortable and what not. The theory is that the energies in the surrounding environment is making you feel so comfortable to the point where it is making you feel like you have already experience the actual event before. And it’s not uncommon once so ever for precognition and déjà vu to cross. Matt aka |

dejavu is a feeling you have that you have done something before, a premonition is a feeling that something will happen in the near future. |
