Awww, dont be sad about V Day Shakira. Last year i was single for Valentine's Day, but instead of just mopping around the house i went out with a group of my single friends and went to a club ... i had a great nite. V Day is a bit of a marketing scam, but i am not complaining cause its a day i get to be spoiled by my bf and i get to do the same in return. I am actually looking forward to it ... all i have to do now is work out what the heck i am going to buy him!! :)  |

My friends and I are making a new meaning to Valentines. I don't think of it as times for couples. Or whatever. We are having it as a day of love for each other, and appreciation. *hehe* I don't have a boyfriend either, but it doesn't bother me. My friends and I are getting dressed up and going out to a nice meal. *hehe* I don't hate the day, just those darn card companys! lol  |

Shakira Babe, you have been initiated into the I-Hate-Valentines-Day Club! LOL! I'm 18, single, and it's pathetic. But worst of all, we have carnations in our school that we exchange and it seems that everybody has a date but me. Some girls get big boquets of flowers. It's depressing. You could do what I'm doing. I'm going to play hooky that day. :) Seriously. It's just so depressing. Valentines Day is just a hallmark holiday, anyway, just like Sweetest day. Invented holidays that really have no meaning or impact on our lives. I hate Valentines Day. I think that it should be eliminated from our lives. "sigh" Too bad it can't be like elementary school where EVERYONE got cards...  |

Lol well i dont know when Valentines comes around and i dont have a boyfriend i use that day to show my friends hopw much i care for them i know it sounds wierd but hey its better than feeling mopey all day i know it seems like they try to rub it in your face lol but i dont know i try to ignore that and focus on how much myy friends are there for me through out the year ab=nd i show my appreciation on that day like one year me and my friends went to go see amovie and out to dinner....I dont know just a thought!  |

Wow creepyfreak I thought I was the only one who knew bout that club ;) lol :p! Anyways yeah I totally agree VALENTINES DAY SUXS! Not only that but I've never EVEN HAD a boyfriend! I'm turning 16 this year :'(....yeah yeah I know the old sayings that are now cliche` to me: 'theres people in their 20's who never had bfs' 'you'll have one someday' blah blah BLAH! I hate it *ba humbug*! Its so depressing. At my school last year we had the flower thing too....it really hurt even more....Lucklily we dont have school this valentine's day, otherwise I'd just skip! I am *so* lonely!  |

I'm with you on this one S.B. personally I hate Valentine's Day and I think it's just a business controlled holiday to increase the profits for the candy, flower, and card companies. But that's just my opinion. Dasvedanya.  |

it's a day of love.. and when you don't have a partner.. you try and forget about it... i notice alot of people say "it's just another day" until they have someone to share it with... it's apro-con day....good yet bad...it's a day for people who love eachother to share(what is great) but it's also a day that just emphises the fact of single people being single  |

Even if I had a boyfriend, I'd think it to be a Hallmark holiday. Holidays have all turned into consumer days. People just forgot the real meanings of them. Heck, when I move outta this house, I probably won't celebrate any holidays. My mom and stepdad don't even exchange gifts on holidays. It's consumer-ish. Just an excuse to buy crap; people don't care about the holidays anymore. They just want to see how much they can get. I'm sure not everybody is like this, but this is a very consumer-ish nation. |
