Fear of the unknown
Hating being all alone
Yet living free
And feeling trapped
Of what is known
And what is yet to be
No one nearby to hold
All of a sudden your life
Feels as if you are about to unfold
In solitude you live
With so much heart
And the willingness to give
Your everyday life
You have known before
Faded in the mist
How do you handle all this
You reach inside yourself
Try to find the ounce
Of you, the one you once knew
Realizing you cannot do this alone
Yet knowing it is neccessity
Torn you are
Wishing and dreaming on that same star
Feeling the reality
So close but not close enough
Knowing the end will come soon
To the dread
Yet dwelling in it just the same
It will soon be the end of the game
A celebration it will be
All pain has its rewards
The price is real great at times
No wonder the pain is so great
The world today is so full of hate.
