Forever and For Always

It’s been years, but the pain is still there
Deep inside and showing I still care
Your voice still haunts me, your eyes still shine
Your smile so perfect, wishing you were still mine
Your name still lingers in my heart
Tearing me apart
We had our good times and our bad
The memories still there, remind me of what we had
Your scent surrounds me during the day
Leaving me speechless, not knowing what to say
Sometimes my heart beats to the rhythm of your name
Making me wish things between us were still the same
I still remember that day you said I was a regret
But to me you were the greatest guy I had ever met
You said I was a mistake
One you wished you never had to make
Seeing you sometimes brings back the heartache and the pain
But you left an imprint on my heart as pure as rain
I still have the feelings to this day
But I know we are done and you are far away
It ended badly I know, but I still reminisce
