The following story was sent to Coast To Coast AM with George Noory by a listener. Although I've heard of ghost dogs, I've never quite heard a story like this one before. It's really weird. See what you think.
I have been listening to Coast to Coast for many years now and I have to say if it wasn't for the show my dog just might be dead right now. You see I have had this dog ,Lexi, for about 13 years now. Every night the dog would come upstairs to my room and lay on my bed while I listen to the show and surf the web. Well, the other day I was sitting at the computer and my dog came up the stairs. I saw him threw the side of my eye and didn't think anything of it. About 10 seconds later I went to go and pet him. As I turned to look at him my heart fell to the floor. My dog was getting up on the bed just like he did every night but this time the dog was see-through. My mind was made up pretty quick that this was a ghost. Now I listen to the show a lot but nothing, I mean nothing, can prepare you for the first time you see a ghost. I jumped out of my chair and ran downstairs. I went to grab a flashlight but for what, I have no idea. Instead I headed straight for the phone. As I picked up the phone I looked over to the left and saw my dog lying on the kitchen floor. This was my real dog, though, and he never lies on the kitchen floor.
I hung the phone up and went over to him. He was dead. Then, for reasons I can't explain, I picked up my dog's body and headed upstairs to see if his ghost was still there. When I got upstairs and opened the door I didn't see the dog on the bed and I was somewhat disappointed and somewhat relieved. As I went to turn and put the dog down, there in the corner of my room, I saw the ghost of my dog.
In an instant I threw my dog's dead body at the dog's ghost. As soon as my dog's body hit the ghost and the wall at the same time the dog let out a yelp. The dog hit the floor and sprung right to his feet. My dog was alive again. Ever since this happened I get freaked out every time I see him, but inside I am still glad he is around. For the life of me I don't know why I would try and get my dog's ghost back into its body. The only reason I can think of is listening to this show for so long. I have only told a handful of people about what happened and I get mostly laughed at so I don't tell anyone anymore. Just thought I would drop you a letter and let you know.
