This story happened so long ago all I can remember is talking to Jessica's Step mother the next morning. I'm not sure if Jessica was still there or what, but when I got home, my aunt and uncle were rather understanding, I told them that I was the happiest I had been in a really long time, and that everything in my life seemed to be going right, I promised them I wouldn't miss another day and we left it at that.
Later in the day I went out to eat with Chrissy and Jeni, for some reason Crissy didn't want Bucky along, she was growing bored with him as woman do, and well he had confided in me and I said nothing on th ematter, mainly because of how he approached me, he came at me as if I was sleeping with Chrissy. So I left it at that a tale of missplaced friendship (I'll write that one too maybe one day).
But as we sat in the resteraunt, Chrissy apologised, but then began to bad mouth Jessica to me. As I look back now, I should have stood up for her, but instead I sat there silently just grinning and eating my meal.
It was the week end before Jessica was to leave. She had a going away party I wasn't invited to, as a matter of fact since that night she had been somewhat avoiding me. I spent the day with Jeni, Chrissy and thier friend Katie. Katie appealed to me at first site, but my attention was souly on Jessica. We went to a beach in Swansea listened to Bon Jovi "these days" and talked about life and dreams. At one point in the night everyone seemed to go a diffrent direction but Katie and I. I sat there consumed by the music and her body as she dances under the moon light. The night was one of perfection.
The next day Jessica called, she said whe was leaving monday (this being Sunday), she said she was having people over and asked if I could make it. Could make it, here was the girl I loved, god had given me but a grain of time with her, I would have spent every moment with her. So of course I went. As always I arrived with Jeni and Chrissy, all sides had made amends. We all spent the night drinking and playing cards till about midnight Jessica brough up the idea of going swimming, a small group gathered and to my house we went. It was a little ways and we stopped once by Fall Rivers finest, I was begining to get a reputation for attracting Police. It was me, Jessica, Chrissy, her new interest Bruce, and Jessica's friend Erin. the water was beautiful as we floated back and forth. At one point the others began undressing, but I was much too shy for that. Jeremy and his brother Drew later stopped by and when it was time to leave he offered Jessica a ride, I asked if i could go also but was denied.
I wrote Jessica almost everyday while she was gone, talked to her on the phone when I was able to. Her letters telling of her love, my letters of mine. I each one I would count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until she would be back for Christmas. Until the count became zero.
