I could live there, I looooooove the cold and I'd rather be in the dark than in the sunlight (no I am not a vampire lol I just like the dark)...my mom and dad went there back in May and they said it was beautiful and I seen the pictures and it really is nice looking...pay me to live there? where do I sign up lol I'd do it in a heartbeat  |

No way...i could never have a garden or grow my veggies up there. The soil is too cold all the time and it's not of the best for growing. :)  |

I have a friend who used to live in Alaska. She said it was very nice-never too hot. Average temperature in Summer was 70 degrees (though that's too cold for me). She said you have to live there a certain amount of time before getting money though.  |

alaska has a midnight sun and days with no sun(the winter) there are less people in alaska it means less roads less taxes less citys less many things what higher taxes pay for.. and they probally do get breaks for living up there  |

i live in alaska for 5 years, they dont pay you to live there, it involves the pipeline, the state gives the citizens 1200 a year, youre only eligible after being a citizen of the state for a year,very common miconception  |
