Thx for the tip on who to read to shed some shred of reality on things. The wests policies over recent history and their link to terrorism, and causing situations of retalitory terrorism can be very enlightening if read. So many are ready to jump to the call to arms and let rip the dogs of war, yet I bet if they have read this post they will dismiss the chance to see what has been done in our names by our governments. |

You're joking right??? We can't possibly be thinking of the same Noam Chomsky. The one I know is completly anti-American, was against the war in Afghanastan, is shamelessly anti-semitic and a communist sympathizer. I believe he said Vietnam was better off under communists and in fact John Wayne was a traitor (I heard him say that last pearl of wisdom on the radio). Oh yeah, nothing partasin about him, he just hates democracy and everything American in general. |

In November, I was supposed to see him at a dinner theater, but unfortunately, I came down with a bad case of the flu on that day! Grrr! Anyway, my mother and stepfather went and, according to them, he was a very intelligent man. |

To bad you didn't get to see him, Creepy Freak. Maybe he would have told you about his "anti-war" activities when he traveled to North Vietnam in 1970, just to shake the hands of the Communist mass murderers who, at the time, were holding hundreds of young American soldiers in notoriously wretched prison camps. During his trip to North Vietnam, Chomsky actually delivered a speech over the airwaves of Radio Hanoi in which he praised the Communists as “freedom fighters.” Him and Jane Fonda ought to get together and talk about the good ole days. |

I have read some of his stuff in philosophy. I don't know much about him but maybe I would check out some of his other stuff. |
