In a debate, I'll defend my position with all guns blazing, but outside those posts I don't care what your opinion is, I'll stick up for your right to say it. I don't destroy friendships over it. I respect your opinion and how well you defend it. Alpha-Zero |

Well Said! We are many different people, with different ideas, social and political backgrounds. But one thing we agree on.. This is what makes up America. We American have the ablity to put aside all our differeces, in one common cause. Freedom. |

First let me agree with you that there is NO war or even a possible war worth losing our friends over..As a matter of fact it's times like we are having now that we should be brought closer together than ever..Yes, we all have our own views on the matter and I'm sure that none of us want it to happen..I do however keep in mind when I answer a post to be honest.. |

A debate is based on peoples views and opinions and some people have a tendancy to start heated arguments..that's when the debate gets ugly and that's when feelings get hurt..that's when you need to leave the post. You shouldn't let a post or a debate decide the outcome of a friendship it's not worth it. |

That and the truth of the matter is we can debate the Iraq situation 24 hours a day 7 days a week typing constantly every thought and opinion that runs accross our rational minds here on USM yet it has no effect on how the govenment is going to handle the situation................. |

You are so right Frankie. Not only in the matters of war though, we should all agree to disagree and respect one another for our differences. I chose to be a peaceful person. I make frindships with many people who I personally do not seem to have the same veiws with. Respect and agreeing to diagree is a true sign of maturity. Good Post Frankie. Mrs. Mommie Nealy |

Frank, if you and I were debating, not argueing, debating.. I would expect an honest opinion from you. When some one posts a debatable topic such as the war that may happen, and probably will happen, they should expect that there will be people who do not agree with them. Yes, its nice to have someone agree with you, and its never easy to accept an opinion when it doesn't side with you. You haven't hurt my feelings Frank, because I respect your opinion. But that is really sweet of you to make an apology post to the people that possible have been hurt, when they probably shouldn't have been. |

Frank, that's a nice thing to say. I for one can go at it in a debate and completly forget it elsewhere. I guess some people aren't like that and maybe they should stay out of debates or discussions where things might get a little heated. |

this big sister of yours appreciates your honesty, now whether or not I agree with your stance on different subjects it doesnt alter the fact that you are entitled to your opinion and it certainly wouldnt make one scrap of difference as to the way I think about you as a friend Frankie...hugs Zema |

Even friends have disagreements Frank...those times of tension, when seen constructively, can serve as deeper, greater, relationship builders...for each party sees more of the person on display. Peace, |

Thank you for posting this Frank. As you know, we don't quite agree with each other about the possible war, but regardless you ARE my friend. But I do get bothered when others start insulting each other or trying to make each other look stupid because of a disagreement. You're a good man Frank :) |
