My youngest son will be 8 in May and I have to say lately I am getting attitude Majorly, fresh mouth and rolling eyes ( who says girls corner the market in eye rolling? )and I am getting the famous huff of breath when I want something done. As of now Sir Attitude is not allowed to have gameboy or his pokeball.Last night we were at a baby shower and a older woman was in the kitchen and he said to her that he would like a drink, she was about to give him a soda and he said" No I want Sunny D" she said well hon there isn't any and that little turd actually said to her "well thats what I want,I know it is in there ,so find it" I found this out about and hour later,I made him sit with me and he was not allowed to move from his seat.I told him that from now on he is on house punishment,he will go to school come home and that is about it for now.He will no longer go anywhere with me he will sit at home with dad and do diddly squat. I told him I don't know who he thinks he is all of a sudden with his little attitude problem, and that until he can adjust it back to normal he is not going to be doing much. I thought I had a few more years until puberty hit to have to have to deal with a huge attitude LOL I even broke out my famous saying" I am not one of your little friends at school you are talking to and making nasty eyes at" He does not like the fact that he can't do anything and I simply said well bud,if you want to get your things back you need to work on your attitude, and what do I get? you guessed it a dirty look :)I hold on to the hope that one day he has 6 kids that all give him the treatment and then I can say hee hee you my dear are getting it all back at ya :)and if that happens who says grandmoms have to babysit? :P I am trying to keep my humor but lately this is getting on my nerves big time, any tips from parents here on what more I can do to help him fine tune his attitude problem? I am sure I am not alone here. I am snowed in with the forecast of maybe 24 inches of snow by tomorrow and I will most likely have a full head of gray hair by the end of it all, thank goodness for hair dye :) a moms best friend. I am slighty bored so the post may seem loopy but hey just trying to break the boredom :)

Date: 2/16/2003 5:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    Let's hope that his little 'nightmare phase' doesn't last for too long. It's great to seeing you writing again. My bride asked me just a few days ago if I had seen or talked to you. Please say 'hi' to Dragon for me. I haven't talked to him in a very long time.
Date: 2/16/2003 5:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    I totally feel your pain Medusa!! I am dealing with FOUR little attitudes!! They are all hard on the head to varying degrees..the oldest is outright rebellious, the next is sneakier and tends to slam doors and take his anger at me out on his younger siblings..My daughter is the eye roller and the "whatever" one..ugh..and the youngest is still into throwing tantrums and screeching at the top of his lungs..I LOVE being a parent!! :P:P

Date: 2/16/2003 5:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 28946    LOL.Poor Medusa. I had eye rollers too. I wanted to 'roll' them sometimes for them. They eventually quit doing it, when they move away. Daniel is 27 and he rolled his eyes at me not too long ago. Then he went back to his house. LOL.
Date: 2/16/2003 5:41:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 44321    LOL I told him once just recently that if you roll your eyes to much they will roll right out of your head. I also told him that he is lucky my grandmother is not alive to see him, she honestly would have chased him with her fly swatter if he got fresh with her and gave her dirty looks LOL
