I was talking to my sons teachers aide, and we were talking about the other day when he was hit and kicked while on the ground,I made a post about this incident.Well anyway she said that after it was broken up they ahd all gone down to the vice principles office, and he talked to my son and this child, just to see what had happened. She told me that my son reached his hand out to shake the boys hand that had hit and kicked him,and was smiling like he was shaking the hand of his brother. She said at that moment it made her see how forgiving my son really is and that he must really have alot of love at home to react the way he did. I was told that this child is mean to all of the kids in class and even one of the kids brushing past him the wrong way sets him off,the aide said this child is most likely having problems at home. Maybe he is not being treated so well by a person there, the counselor is looking into the situation. My son told me that the boy was very nice to him today, and nice to everyone else as well.I guess what I am talking about here is look how a 7 year old handles a terrible situation,he did not continue feeling anger towards the boy that hit and kicked him.He chose to turn it around and make it a calmer one.The teachers aide was almost in tears while telling me what she saw,it touched her that deeply. I hope that they can find out why this child is so angry and lashes out at his classmates. But the one act of kindness/friendship towards him seems to have made a small difference :)
