I thought the first film was awful. It was a hack job that was a complete mess - total disgrace to the novel. BUT, the second film is a major improvement. I actually cared for these characters now and got caught up in their trials and tribulations. Granted, I was disappointed in some of the changes made (which is a given in most films) but overall it was a good film. A little slow, but this was a film about people and their relationships more than one of action and suspense.  |

i do agree, it was a little slow moving in the beginning. but overall i thought it was a great movie. thanks for the replies. |
