Darkness falls upon me.
The light I can no more see.
I sit alone, no one by myside,
Wishing I had someone sitting aside.
Here am I,
Breathing a gasp of sigh.
Where is my sunshine?
When will I be fine?
I pray this darkness leaves,
And then my mind will be set at ease.
I know the light will appear, I can feel it in my heart
When it enters in I know it will never more part.
Time is on my hands so I sit and wait,
Wait for this tremendous light to open the gate,
But this morbid darkness at some point finds us all,
No matter how hard we try to stand tall.
We give it our all,
But eventually we just fall,
Into a great big hole,
Wishing and praying for our soul.
Where is the comfort that I crave?
Maybe I'll find it in my shallow grave.
Then, I'll see it shine so bright,
My everlasting luminous light.
