We have to fix the crap in Iraq to fix the economy. We need to stabilize Iraq then go after N.Korea. |

but why should we be the ones to "fix" Iraq? And why can't we fix our economy without doing that? We have enough natural resources not to need ANYTHING from them... |

i think that we should go to war. Suddam thinks he can get away with so much. what else will he try to get away with if we continue to let him? i think that we need military force. but this is my opinion and mine only. hsuddam got away with this dis-armmor-ment for 12 years. how much longer are we goin to allow before he blows part of the US into smitherens? isay, go to war and show him how things should have been done years ago. sorry, got off track :D |

as for north korea, we could station our troops so that we could take them out in a few days, and for the economy, well, Sept 11 had alot to do with that. if we dont take care of the countries that promote Taliban and ALQuida, theres gonna be another human tragedy, and it will be much larger that Sept 11. who wants that? |

Technically, it doesn't really matter who thinks the United States is justified or how much they feel the U.S. is justified. The bottom line: The US will do whatever it wants and nobody is going to step in front of us and tell us otherwise. *shrug* We're kind of bullies. - |

But yeah, from a political standpoint... If Iraq was let go with no war after all this, then it could totally do some nasty things with our oil. It could embargo the oil to the US and shoot gas prices up farther and all that. If there isn't a war, people will be worried that it may happen anyway so the economy would remain shaky. Yeah, we do have to go to war before we can fix the economy. Kind of sad. - |

Got it on but think the President will do what he wants, like Nixon and Kennedy did in the early 60s with VietNam. |

To be honest, I'm not sure that he really wants to go. If he really really wanted to go wouldn't he be there already? I think it is more of a scare tactic, but if he feels there is no otehr choice he will go. I don't want him to go into Iraq, however, this is my country and whether I agree or not I will stand behind it through thick and thin. |

Personally, I think we should save our natural resources for an emergency time. |

Historically, and you need not go that far back in history to see this, you will find that war stimulates the economy. I have not the desire nor the time to fully explain this. It is a fact and I will leave it at that. |

I just read a text of the speech and some of the points he made were1 1. The U.S. does not need permission to ensure its security. 2. North Korea is a regional issue. 3. The U.S. wants a vote at the UN to see who stands where..Yeahm the ECONOMY is important, but our safty and national security is more important at this moment in time, when those issues are taken care of the ECONOMY will come back, not until than. We've had 3% growth in the economy all ready this year, but security issues are making the market jumpy. |

I was watching some of it before I left the house a little while ago.. some of those questions the media was asking (what a mouth full). It seemed like he was dancing around some of the subjects. But I didn't watch it long enough to have a solid opinion of what I thought. hmmm.. |
