This story was taken from a book called Unexplained Michigan Mysteries by Gary Barfknecht (text may be changed)this story takes place in 1981
Part time police woman Jessica Arthnot (name changed) had just moved into the 130 year old farm house she had just bought. She had fell asleep on the couch from exhaustion because of her strenuous day. 4:30 pm she was awakened by the sound of her front door slamming shut. She went to investigate for an intruder but found no such suspect, althought the front door was wide open. For the next week at 4:30 pm she would hear footsteps and then the front door slamming and being left wide open. She even locked, ductaped, and padlocked the door but ever single day the same thing happened. A friend told her that it was a ghost and it was probably a farmer who died in the house. The freind also said that the farmer most likely got up every morning at 4:30 to go to work on the farm. A year later the woman left a note on the kitchen table (not even fully beliving that it was a ghost) saying- "Dear Ghost, please shut the door for it gets very cold." The door was never left open since.
