I am smiling today In so much glee I am a wife to be War awaits Yet I smile from ear to ear What is going on here Is it possible that I feel needed Here in this country Knowing my soldiers need me Depend on their NCO Even though we all do not want to go Live in the desert we shall Hand wash our clothes Pray for no wind Hoping to stay clean I suppose The sand in your eyes Along with everything you own I know what I am heading for Hot days Cold nights With no city lights No beer Yet I have no fear Soon I will wed Say goodbye Tears will be shed Everynight I will pray We will all return home We soldiers are not alone We have each other Bonding Becoming a family Learning to love Not knowing our fate What has become of me My negativity has floated away Fear has been removed By who I am amazed at my being I am going to war Live in solitude Yet happy as a bee What is really up with me??
This poem is weird. Just a rambling. Maybe some of you can answer the question I cannot answer within myself. HUGS.
